Safety Harbor provides tours to citizens, groups, schools, organizations, etc. Please contact the on-duty District Chief (DC) at 727-724-1520 to schedule.

Fire Prevention PR, Safety Awareness Campaigns & Events

The Fire Department conducts numerous safety awareness campaigns, PR programs and events throughout the year, that highlight:

  • Pedestrian Safety
  • Other major safety topics

Santa Tours
Each December the Safety Harbor Fire Department continues a tradition that dates back over 30 years. The Fire Fighters and Santa team up to tour local Safety Harbor neighborhoods, driving through on the bright red ALS engine decorated with colorful holiday lights. Watch for dates to be announced. Smoke Detector Program
The Fire Department offers a free smoke detector and/or battery replacement program for citizens of Safety Harbor. If you cannot afford one, please contact the on-duty DC at 727-724-1520.
Drowning Prevention
The department offers free pool safety inspections and helpful hints for all homes in Safety Harbor. For an appointment, contact the on duty DC at 727-724-1520.
Blood Pressure
The department offers free blood pressure checks to all citizens. Simply stop by either station and we will be glad to check your BP.
Safety Harbor Fire Explorers
The Fire Explorers are a post that meets every Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Station 53 and consist of an age group of 14 to 21. The explorers learn what firefighters, EMTs and paramedics do. Please email Post Adviser Charles Russell.
